A day to be thankful to your teachers
Every year 5th September is celebrated in India as Teacher's day as a mark of respect to the former President of India S. Radhakrishnan who himself was a teacher.
Every year we celebrate our former President S. Radhakrishnan's birthday as Teacher's day as a mark of respect to S. Radhakrishnan and to the noblest of professions in this world. Next your parents, it is your teachers who helping in making you and deciding the kind of person you will become in your adult life. I have been quite fortunate to get excellent teachers throughout my student life who left an immense and indelible impression on my mind and my personality to shape who I am today and what my beliefs are.
While in school we always make fun of our teachers and look upon them as if they are someone who don't really understand us or are "not so bright". But the reality is that they are our teachers and are in the noblest of professions working hard to ensure that we will have a bright future and the next generation of our country is solid.
Here's to the unsung heros of our society and our mentors and people who unknowingly shape our destiny.
